My publication, Sympatico Autos, recently filmed the Bugatti Aerolithe, a magnesium-bodied masterpiece. The original went missing shortly after being shown to the public. The Guild of Automotive Restorers in Ontario, Canada, took a numbers-matching Bugatti chassis and faithfully recreated the entire thing—out of its original magnesium-alloy material, called Electron. (It's also referred to as the "Electron Coupe".)

This is the story of a four year, multi-million dollar build, recreating from the ground up one of the most legendary shapes to roll out of the Bugatti workshops.

Filmed by our videographer, Graeme Jenvey; story produced by Nicholas Maronese.

(PS: Don't miss the part about Babbitt bearings...)
